What is Hotjar?

Hotjar is a web-based Analytics & Feedback platform that reveals the online behaviour and voice of your users. Hotjar is used on over 250,000 sites worldwide and we've been in business since 2014.

What is this charge for?

Hotjar is a subscription-based service and this is a recurring charge for one of our paid plans. Subscriptions are paid either Monthly or Yearly – you or your colleague who set up the account can choose your/their preferred option.

Why do I have more than one charge within the same month?

If you are experiencing multiple charges, this is most likely due to multiple individuals or teams subscribing to Hotjar using different accounts.

Still unsure why we have charged you?

If you still unsure about this charge, you might want to ask some of your colleagues. Hotjar can be installed on sites or web-apps and is primarily used by marketers, UX professionals and site owners.

Can we get an invoice for the charges?

Every time we bill you, we send an email which contains a link to your invoice to the email address you (or your colleague) provided when you/they signed up. Whoever set up the account can also access all the invoices we've sent by logging into Hotjar and accessing the 'Invoices' page.

How do I cancel my account?

If you know the email address used to sign up for Hotjar, you can cancel your account at any time. Just log into your account and go to the 'My Details' page. Once you've cancelled you won't be charged again, but you are responsible for all previously incurred charges.

Can we get a refund?

Yes, we offer a 30-day money back guarantee which applies to the last charge we billed you. Just log into your account, click 'Help' and click on 'Get Help' to speak to our support team. If you don't know the email address used to set up the account, you can email us at support@hotjar.com instead and we'll do our best to help you locate your account.
